This is in connection to the Spanish cedar neck question. Can I ship guitars with SC necks internationally? I read the cites site, but can't say I actually understood it, if it's raw material, lumber, finished product etc.... |

Spanish Cedar is on Appendix III of CITES. International import/export of wood in the form of logs, sawn wood or veneer sheets is illegal without CITES documentation. Spanish Cedar in finished products such as a finished guitar does not require CITES documentation. So you can ship finished guitars with Spanish Cedar necks internationally. |

You've already got your answer, but I thought I'd confirm it. Appendix 3 and 2 woods can be shipping internationally in a finished form. Unfinished you need CITES documents. |

Thanks. Government writers are like terms of service writers. Somehow they manage to take common everyday English words and strip them entirely of recognizable meaning. |
