That is a good deal Fred. I have one (not the grizzly version) that I need to pull down and repair. At this price it might be worth it to just buy a new one with the remote included. |

Fred, John, I have two work spaces, two car garage and a hobby room 1/3 the size of the garage. Would three units be over kill? Or totally worth it? |

Mike the manual for the one Fred posted says that it will circulate the air about 8 times per hour in a room that is 20x20x8 so it seems probably one would be enough for a two car garage. https://d27ewrs9ow50op.cloudfront.net/m ... 0738_m.pdf |

It looks like the inner filter is washable, any feedback on how long they last before they need to be replaced altogether. Am I correct in assuming the outer filters are disposable? Edit: Also, does anyone know if this can be mounted on its side? |

Fred, strange question, but...does it beep? Yes, can be mounted on it's side. Shane, what was your final price? With shipping? And FWIW, Wynn Envoronmental sells replacement filters the will chew the sub micron, turning it into a right proper HEPA style filter... |

Nice! If it can be mounted on its side, I have the perfect place for this (tiny shop with low ceiling). A Wynn sub micron filter would be awesome! |

I don't think it necessarily has to mount to the cieling either but air flow is probably most important. I have a low ceiling shop too and am thinking of on the wall. |

We have a similar one of a different brand mounted sideways, works just fine. |

But it doesn't beep so I don't like it nearly as much as my Delta. |

Would be awesome if free ship. What is shipping cost? Mike |

Mike, I ordered today. Shipping was $19 or thereabouts. I also had to pay MO state sales tax. I probably should have sent it to a friend across the river. |

I ordered one yesterday with a few extra added items too. I didn't realize how much stuff they had for sale there, some of which was err um pretty interesting. They have luthiers stuff but then the shooting section caught my attention because I need another rifle rest bag to make a guitar neck holder with and found out that they sell quite an assortment of hand cuff's... Hand cuffs? |

They offer guitar making products geared to individuals as well as shops. The handcuffs are for shop owners. Sometimes they need to cuff the luthiers to the bench until they earn their keep. The shooting sections is for in case they run. I just looked back, it seems my shipping was also $18 (not the $19 I said earlier). $18 must be the starting point. I should have looked around to see if there were more things I needed before I checked out. |

Ed, shipping is $29.99 so the unit is about $163 USD delivered with spare filters. There will be a brokerage charge from UPS of $11.99. I am also sure that there will be a GST charge as well. Anyway, I ordered an extra inner and outer filter as well and one is on back order so I told them to hold the unit and ship it all together as I am just wiring the garage for 220 right now anyways. I couldn't pass on this deal, and I am thinking of just setting it on my shop floor. That is where the sawdust is located, so why not? |

They even make floor models. I suppose that it settles after you leave the shop and things quiet down but it probably will work. The ideal set up seems to be such that it creates a circular flow around the room. |

I have a space in the corner of my large u-shaped workbench that is kid of a dead space and just accumulates junk. I'm going to put it there. My hope is that it will be at the level that most of the dust is made (hand sanding that is not connected to the dust collector) and that it will encourage airflow around my long narrow shop. I think the most important thing is to try to avoid the intake and exhaust making dead spaces. I see benefits to high, low and mid-height. |
