Hoping someone can advise me whether this is fixable. I bought it used a few months ago, but the reading never changes. I've tapped it to no avail, and the needle will move correspondingly when I turn the calibration screw, but that's it. Is there anything I can do, or is it scrap brass? |

What Ed said. I know that Abbeon does do service out of California because I used to send mine to them for calibration before I learned how to do it myself. If you want I can find their contact info for you? |

open the back - there is a little screw for calibrating the hair - make sure it is not maxed out in any direction. It should be set so the balance has equal travel in both directions. After that you need to do a salt test to recalibrate. Or just send it to Abbeon. |
