Seen it before , vy different way to make a rosette using the bacon slicer on the BS, my only qualm is that it/s repetitive. But if you want a consistent beautiful design , well then no worries |

Been around for awhile -- think he uses enough glue? Not a method I'd want to try. |

He does use a lot of glue but probably for a good reason. He's gluing a lot of veneers together, spread the glue out thin and it's very likely that it will start to set before he's half way through the pack of veneers. I've already been there, years ago. Michael Thames has a lot of experience in making Guitars and it's unlikely that he's using a lot of glue without good reason. He makes multiples of each design, rather than the more traditional Spanish method of forming each rosette into each soundboard. His results are not to be argued with though. Just go to his website and it's obvious that he knows what he is doing. He should use a push stick when cutting up the rows, even though he's cutting a very thin slice the blade can still remove finger tips! |

I just enjoyed watching his process. He has to have used most of that bottle of glue, and he's wearing a sport coat... +1 for using a push stick! M |
