Hey, haven't been around the forum for the last couple of years,
and was curious why Todd Stock and Fillipo Morelli around around here.
Are they okay?

Todd got the boot for being unable to keep his politics in check during the Great Ivory Debate a few years ago, and his buddy Fillipo left in solidarity, they took there tuts and went home.

They didn't bother me at all.

Sad to see Chris V remove his postings.

Similarly, I wish Todd had kept his postings in the archives -- lots of info for the members, since lost.

Yes, I think it was a big loss as well. They never bothered me as well, but if they did I would have taken into account all the time they spent educating us. There are some contributors that can be perhaps a little more "crusty" than I prefer, but they are so helpful that I don't mind it a bit. Just a little extra personality!

Of course, I miss Padma like I would a broken toe.

Even the Padma had the occasional useful nugget.

I never had a problem with any of them. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and personalities. That's exactly what gives forums like these their own character. As long as they're not purposefully causing trouble with every post, obviously.

I miss TonyinNYC. His posts always brightened my day :)

A lot of "colour " has left the forum over the years. Some of the threads did degenerate into abusive name calling which is unfortunate. I think Tony was able to defuze some of them. Where is a good goat picture when you need it?

Well, my hat's off to Lance for not allowing political and religious views.
We are on a forum where we share our mistakes, successes, pride, humiliation,
about building git-boxes.
Let's keep it that way.
I've been busy with work,
and would like to start building again, on a hobby level,
and would like to share with all of you, once again.

If by a nugget of Bondo, I agree. I mean, did it ever occur to anyone but me that eschewing all things modern while using the Internet to do that was odd?

I gotta say I miss all of em. Todd, Fillipo, even Padma. They all had a great wealth of knowledge. I hated it when they left us.

+1:

I miss them all. Todd with his encyclopedic knowledge of Lutherie, Fillipo, asking questions that I hadn't even considered. And Padma, even when spouting nonsense, always managed to make me laugh.

As people I miss them, as a moderator of the OLF I do not. To add to that, I was threatened with a lawsuit if I did not remove the posts. I spoke to my attorney and he suggested to oblige the request if for no other reason but to "move on" and that would cost much less to do so.
As friends, I miss Filippo. We had a good off forum friendship that went beyond guitars.
His wit and building chops are indeed missed.
