I have 5 rabbet bits, that are 1 1/4in wide I/m looking for source for 1 1/8 in bearings or metric OD 29.5mm to be used on the rabbeting bits. 1 is 1/2 in shank and 4 are 1/4in shanks . Does anyone have a source for these bearings.? I want to try them, to see if I can get a better cut than my current 1/4in spiral down cut bits .Thanks

Try routerbitworld, I know they have some bearings individually.
Also, CMT have a set which uses different size adapters for a common bearing.

Is there a reason for not just using a stewmac or LMII system? I know shear bits are better technically, but we've done a lot of guitars with the LMII bits without trouble, good clean lines and precise cutting depths.

They are a bit more expensive, but they're designed for specific purpose, and they function well.

It seems to me that you could circumnavigate a whole lot of fuss by buying bits and bearings specifically designed to do exactly what you need.

The bearings are also available individually, so if you don't feel like springing for the whole set, if you have a single binding depth you're after, you can just get the one bit and bearing. I think it's been 2 yrs since I've needed a new bit.

I have rabbet bits from LMI on my fixed ridgid rtr. and woodtek from woodworkers supply. But I want to extend the use of my other routers. I acquired a bunch of rabbet bits from a deceased woodworkers estate and would like to put them to use with the other rtrs that I have. They did not come with any bearings that can be used for loofery. I will start looking now, thanks for the suggestions . All the spare rabbet bits are 31.5 mm or ,1 1/4in wide . The bearings are 1 1/8in OD by 3/16in ID. If you know where I can find some ?? thanks
