Can anyone help identify what glue was used on this bridge repair? Looks like hot melt to me but it could also be silicone.... ![]() |

All that and they didn't even bother to glue the bridge pins in place. Amateurs... |

Not sure if that is actually glue. Looks more like Ghost Buster's ectoplasm. Alex |

I can't identify the glue, but I'm truly humbled by the craftsmanship displayed in the photo. |

I recognize the drywall screws, but what are those unslotted, black-headed things? |

Epoxy??? I like the black screws that match the pickguard. Thanks for the tutorial on bridge repairs. I never would have thought of screws, bolts and epoxy.i would have kept that repair as a luthiers secret. |

My eyes hurt! In all my years I've never seen one that bad. That makes that Martin cut away look pro. |

I'd say that it's a little over exaggerated and done merely for the effect. However, looks like epoxy. Drywall screws, carriage bolts, epoxy, wonder which came first. |

Don't be so critical. I thought I had done a reasonable job. Everybody has to start somewhere. |

The deck/drywall screw that split the bridge came first ... epoxy clearly last as it covers the whole piece of, um, art. |
