Has anyone tried the Rokkomann or Kling-On top protectors?

I've used them both, as well as bulk static cling vinyl like this: http://www.dickblick.com/products/grafix-static-cling-sign-vinyl/. The ones I've used are not as hard and protective as a real golpeador or pick guard, but they do a good job of preventing stray nail marks. They can be left on a shellac finish indefinitely. Don't leave them on a nitro finish for any length of time (More than a few hours?), or they may eat the finish. Take the time to fit them neatly to the soundhole and bridge, and they are hard to notice.

Thanks Eric, this is for a french polished guitar. What do you know about using them on a finish that is only a few weeks old. I know the Kling-On says to only use on finishes that are cured for 6 months. I don't know what Rokkomann recommends. I read a very old post on the Delcamp forum that said Jeffrey Elliot likes the Rokkomann but the post was from years ago.

Not relevant to the original post, but these can leave marks on Epifane's varnish.

I have put them on within a couple of weeks of completing the finish. I haven't had any issues.
