This is a relatively quickly built guitar that I made for a niece. Standard x brace, no pruflings a small bit of bling. Top is Lutz Spruce, has a bit of run-out thus slightly two toned. A nice Cocobolo back and side set. The wood was dense so I braced it as a non-active back. The binding are maple, the rosette, end wedge and heel cap is spalted maple. Sweet! I like that. Nice touches with the spalted maple and headplate burl. Got me a set of Coco somewhere, nothing spectacular but straight grained, quartersawn and dense IIRC. Got to use that sometime. |

John! You know you are doing that blues box a disservice playing that on it. Kidding my friend. Great video. Great playing. Great to see you playing 'er. Looks great, other than the untidy bridge pin height. ( Hey, I know you're not just fishing for compliments). Beautiful job on the volute. How did you thin the headstock and cut is? Really need to take a shot at one. They are pretty. Cheers! |
