Post subject:  A song I recorded

Hi everyone. As some of you may know, when I'm not building guitars, I make my living as musician. I spent the past day recording an acoustic version of "Auld Lang Syne" and I thought that the people here may like to hear it. Im playing a guitar I build, as well as a bowed guitar I made (Thats the cello part you hear) in this recording.

Happy New Year everyone!

I really enjoyed that Chris! Tell us more about the bowed guitar. Did you arch the saddle so you could use the bow? Tell us more and give us some photos. Please...

Good job. Your voice has a good quality to it and the guitar sounds nice too.

Here are some pics of the Bowed Guitar I made several years ago that you hear on the song in this post. It's a Cello/Flat-top guitar hybrid. If I were to do it again, it would be with an arch top design, but this was way before I had ever done an arch top and didn't want to bite off too much in this experimental instrument. It's a fun tool in the studio none the less.

One of the best renditions brother. Thanks for sharing that. I know you are a talented builder. Lots more to you than that I hear. And you look great in a bow tie! (and probably with a bow on your very cool bowed guitar)

Happy New Year and May Your Future Be Bright

Chris, I am intrigued by your bowed guitar. First of all, it is beautifully constructed. How did you come up with the idea? ...and how is it braced?
