Anyone have any tips for bending Marblewood on a bending form and silicone blanket - thickness, temperature, duration? It will be for a parlour guitar. Thanks!

I just bent a set the other day and had no problems. Use pretty much the same system for most woods. Thickness to about .080 or a little less for a cutaway, Spritz with distilled water, cover with brown masking paper, then into the bender where I think I took it up to about 300F or a little higher for the bend, turn it down and let it cook at about 260F for 20 minutes and then after it cools to room temp let it re cook at 260 for 30 minutes. This is about typical for most wood lately, though with the marblwood there was very little spring back.

I will say that it is some of the most stringy and unique textured wood I have worked with though. Kind of weird stuff. idunno
