I was curious if anyone knew if there would be any negative repercussions from re-shaping a blocky schecter omen 8 neck joint down to be similar to that of the joint of a more ergonomic Ibanez S profile. Also what would be the best way to go about this? |

Are we talking neck mods, body mods, or both? I'm not completely familiar with either of those instruments. You can probably use a file and/ or sandpaper - provided you don't get carried away. PICS? |

I'm Just talking about Body Mods, the body style of the guitar is a super strat shape and is a bolt on. But because of the normal super strat style neck bolt that's a bit wider due to the neck size of the 8 string. So theres basically a massive squared block stopping me from comfortably playing the higher frets. And I was thinking I could chop half the block off and round it out to be more ergonomic. (and sorry i can't really post pictures due to the fact that for some reason my phones photos are too large of a file size) |
