I'm going to Honolulu next week and thought I should ask about whether or not it is a good idea to get some Koa sets while I'm there. Any thoughts or experiences to share? Dave |

I had the same thoughts once when I was going to Hawaii. I didn't find any place or any advantage over just finding an on-line source. Perhaps I just didn't look hard enough. Pat |

Oddly enough the best Koa dealers are in the Pacific Northwest. If your looking for billets try Plywood Hawaii they usually have Koa and every now and then they get some nice figured stock in. be prepared to pay $65-90 per board ft. Ask for Chris at the desk |
