Hi, i need to buy a new polishing compound. my guitars are french polished and i´ve used Novus 2 in the past, which worked OK. I´ve had better results with a german compound by the name of Glasurite but it is proving hard to source.
I´d like to try the Meguiars products after reading good reviews about them here and elsewhere, but can´t really tell the difference between #7 (show glaze?) and #9 (swirl remover?). would you recommend any? i can also get 3M 5990 imperial compound locally, which i believe is silicone free, but haven´t heard much more about it.

thanks!

Swirl remover is a very fine cut compound, while the Show Car Glaze is more of a polish that doesn't really cut much. I use them both.
