Found this in the FAQs on General Finishes site.

Strange, I remember this post quoting Tom Monahan of General Finishes saying the exact opposite.

Me and a few others had no problems with Z poxy and west systems.

Ain't that something! I'll contact John Greven but I think he's been using epoxy filler all along. I believe the issue of witness lines when cutting down to bare wood (removing the pore filler film) is problematic with just about any coating even nitro lacquer. I am only doing friends and family builds these days so I plan to continue on with Zpoxy -- I did primitive mechanical bond tests with tape and the Enduro does does not budge.

Funny, that was a conversation that I had with them a while back. I had buffed through the Endurovar and hit the Z-Poxy. I followed the guidance given here in the OLF and the guitar turned out great. I just scuff sanded the back and shot the whole thing with 5 more coats, leveled and then buffed.

Yep. I'm shooting satin EnduroVar on the neck now per the suggestion where I was asking what to use on a neck (I was looking at truoil and Liberon). I settled on the Satin Endurovar. It's curing now.
