Hello , So glad I found this place. I am a life long guitar fan. I am not much of a player,, Still working on that. I build boats and am a charter Capt./fishing guide and am thinking about building a kit style electric, along with a neck repair to a Yamaha acoustic my Dad gave me as a kid,, Thanks Bo

Welcome. Guitars are kind of like boats, they can become an obsession if you don't watch it :)

Welcome. I've built over 50 guitars and have always wanted to build a boat... some day perhaps :D

Hey Bo, I have great childhood memories messing about in boats on the eastern shore, Rock Hall / Chestertown. If I think too long about the boats, Crabs and water I get misty eyed. I have recently done some repair work for a great customer who worked at Cutts and Case in Oxford and then had his on boat building shop there years ago. I have to shoo him out of the shop so I can get something done. I could talk all day abut boats and the bay.

There are a lot of instrument forums out there, I think this group is exceptionally smart and kind. (except for me of course)
Anyway welcome!

Welcome from another who builds guitars and boats. And now amps, too. Every time I turn around, there is yet another slippery slope to slide down.

Welcome to the forum. I'm pretty close to you, just outside Baltimore.
