I've been seeing advertisements for a Tool-less Guide upgrade for the Rikon 10-325 14" Deluxe. Cost is about $149. Anyone tried these out or have information on them? |

It certainly looks like a better design than the $180.00 tool-less Carter upgrade I put on my 10-325. I like the look of the larger diameter bearings and the spring loading is cool. I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the ceramic guides on my Laguna 14-SUV. M |

I had been looking at the Carter guides too. Glad to hear that you think the Rikon upgrade looks like an improvement. Hopefully someone will chime in who has installed these. |

We upgraded to this http://www.carterproducts.com/band-saw- ... rsion-kits The vertical in-line bearings versus the normal "skid" bearings makes all the difference in the world if the Rikon upgrade kit has that feature it may be worth a try. |

The stock setup on my 10-325 already has the vertical in-line bearings and was a huge improvement over the Grizzly 14" with cool blocks that I had previously. The upgrade kit looks like it should make it faster & easier to change out blades; that's my primary objective but I also want to be sure that guides will perform at least as good, preferably better, than what I have now. |
