Hi Has anybody know anything about the fox/delta 16/32 drum sander. Just got one 2nd hand, but struggling to get the drum alignment right. It's sanding heavier towards the free end of the drum I downloaded an instruction book online but it shows a slightly different one with a adjustment knob on the table. There is nothing like this on mine and nothing obvious on the roller. There are 4 bolts holding the belt table down to the unit which I suppose I could shim if I had to but doesn't seem right Here's hoping someone knows Many thanks Attachment: 20161128_165911_resized-464x825.jpg Attachment: 20161128_165931_resized-2-464x825.jpg

You'll never get that sander properly aligned. |

Can you take a picture from the feed end looking at the motor? There should be some sort of adjustor for the drum head. This the adjustor on a typical Jet/Performex sander. Attachment: JET-1632_2.jpg

There's a way to dial it using the four screw post that raise and lower the platen. I forget how exactly how but it's there. Basically you release the post from being slaved together and then adjust them. I did mine probably 15 years ago or so. It's accurate and it holds. |

Thanks Jim Can you remember where these screws are, do you mean the 4 bolts that hold the whole conveyor table to the main frame or is it to do with the drum it's self. The drum arm is held in a slider by 6 nuts.is it something to do with them Cheers |
