Well done and thanks Lance. I was worried I might be the cause by letting my classified subscription lapse. Promise I won't let that happen again.

Glad it's sorted... if for nothing else, this has served to show me how hooked I am to this place... I was starting to feel anxious!

While I completely understand your angst over all of it, I wouldn't feel alone...I've seen this exact type of thing happen many times over the years oops_sign

eh, no biggie except for the normal thoughts of forum users wondering if their favorite forum had died without notice...

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

For years, I have used Kaspersky Internet Security (Russian company) instead of MacAfee or whatever. I have now decided that's no longer a good idea. And why I ever thought is was, I will never know.
