Every weekend, Lance takes a break.... and we go bye-bye.
Care to appoint a weekend guard?

The problem turned out to be the email address associated with the website owner which is me was lance@kragenbrinkguitars.com, I no longer use that email address, everything I use is Lance kragenbrink@gmail.com. Therefore I was not able to get the domain expiration or I was not able to verify who I was. Today I ended up sending a copy of my drivers license to ICANN and got back on tech-support after I got home from work, I spent the evening with them figuring out the problem verifying my identity and with the flip of the switch everything was reconnected. I think I'm gonna go have a beer now

Have 2 or 3 beers from the sound of it.

Thanks so much! I had resorted to reading that other forum where you have to wade through threads with titles like:

Shouldn’t the Red Spruce top on my guitar be red?
Where do you store your picks?
What order do you polish your tuner buttons in?
Tell me about the fingerprints on your guitar.
What’s the best tonewood for end pins?
Educate me on torrefied bridge pins.
Do you remove fingerprints from your guitar or leave them?
How does soundhole binding affect tone?
Should I use my ToneRIte on a guitar with a torrefied top?

This is so much better now.

Thanks for hosting and sorting it out. Glitches happen to the best of us: we have excellent tech guys at work, but our e-mail was out for about 4 hours during business hours today. That's a big deal for a business like mine. Great to have the forum back.

Do you also have a problem locking your keys in the trunk, or dropping them down storm drains in the parking lot?

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Ironically we had a similar problem with our URL at work. It was sold to two different domain registrars over a 15 year period and when it came time to renew we realized that the email address associated with the domain had been dead for years. We ended up searching out through whois where our domain was parked. It was at a company in Australia. We had to send them proof of ownership, Company letterhead, and an affidavit stating we were who we said we were. It took almost 10 business days to get it diagnosed and worked out and back online. In the mean time our emails were backing up like crazy and our phones were ringing nonstop.

But now coming back to resawing more tonewood and building acoustics....
