Just a helpful heads-up to those using Enduro-Var WB urethane finish from General Finishes...this is an expensive finish where wholesale pricing cannot be had, but it can be found on sites running promotions from time to time at 10-15% off.

Jet.Com, an Amazon competitor attempting to grab some market share, is offering free shipping (on orders over $35 dollars) and a 15% off code (TRIPLE15 through April 1st on first three orders)...so a gallon of GF Enduro-Var delivered runs just under $75 ($89.79 - $14.94 = $74.85). The total value of the 15% discount is limited to $30, so the current promotion would see the full 15% discount apply to just two gallons of finish.

Still twice what we pay per gallon of Mohawk nitrocellulose gloss, but less expensive than other outlets which seem to be about $95-$100 plus tax & shipping.

I have no financial or business interest in Jet.Com, and no ill will toward any of GF's other vendors - simply a good deal which we stumbled across in our ongoing effort to shop smart. If anyone can point us to a vendor with consistently lower pricing - not just this one-time offer - please advise!

Torn between the soul sucking Amazon, who is a competitor to all retail and to my employer, and Jet.com now owned by small town destroyer Wal-Mart. beehive

No one is suggesting you should pay less than you are comfortable with doing, Mr. Combs - if you will advise me on just what your threshold of financial pain might be per gallon (delivered), I will consider establishing a vehicle through which you may pay me a truly exorbitant price with assurance that I will donate at least 5% of my after-tax profits to a charity of my choice which - if I actually bothered to advise you of that charity's nature - you might or might not find it acceptable. If you do elect to join me in this enterprise, please rest assured that I will be unstinting in my vaguely worded assurances that your money is doing wonderful things for even more wonderful people. ;)

I view these sorts of things as an opportunity to make targeted investments with the money saved...for instance, the $50 per month savings on fuel because I fill up at a big box store going to & from the shop handles my 'easy payment' on a lifetime membership in a worthy civil rights organization (and I get a cool magazine - 'America's First Freedom' with that investment), as well as funds meals for a week for one of the gentle souls housed at my local homeless shelter.

I would prefer to control my, "targeted investments" more directly, by purchasing from businesses that are required to be at least minimally responsible to begin with.
Think, giving in the form of decent wages for work, sound environmental practices, etc..

Seems more effective to prevent an oil spill than to try and fund the clean up with voluntary donations.

So I can put you down for 5 gallons of gloss at $139.99 + S&H per gallon? Perfect! We are doing such wonderful things for <fill in blank>! ;)

I appreciate a heads up on a good deal Woodie G. I'm not uncomfortable with a low price.
I am sometimes uncomfortable with where my money will go and make decisions accordingly.
Sounds like you, bcombs510, and I are on the same page in that respect. ;)

I need a couple of gallons of EnduroVar, as well. Something lower than The $100cdn/gal I'm paying would be nice, but I'm not going to holding my breath.
