I inadvertently posted this in the instrument restoration forum. Hopefully a moderator will delete that posting. Anyway here is the soundclip of my #5 classical I promised. It has been strung up nearly two weeks. I'm learning STH, as my next build will be my first steel string, and I've always heard that this song is a requirement for owning a steel string. Actually, I've always liked it since I first heard it way back when, Mike https://soundcloud.com/mimbler/stairway ... n-practice |

Very nice! Like the clear bass strings. Tell me about this guitar as I am building my second nylon string. Cherry with a cedar top. |

Thank you Victor, The woods are EIR for back and sides, Ebony for headplate, end wedge and fretboard and German bearclaw spruce for the top. The bridge is a walnut/carbon composite laminate done to Trevor Gore's design and weighs 14 grams. The design and bracing are based on the 37 Hauser, and the top is .090 to .093 thick, Mike |

sounds and looks very nice! How do you feel the overall response with that light bridge? |

munen wrote: sounds and looks very nice! How do you feel the overall response with that light bridge? Bruno, I think it makes a noticeable difference. I've built 5 now to the Hauser style, and the two with the Gore bridges are my favorites as far as responsiveness and tone. In addition to being light, this design of bridge is shorter than typical which Gore believes helps with responsiveness. Thanks for the kind words, Mike |
