I like it. Finally a Gitfiddle you can strum, pluck, bow and just plain fiddle around with. Beautiful ![]() ![]() ![]() How was the artwork on the top done? |

Arnt, the inking and inlay is exquisite! Looking forward to seeing it finished. Would love to see some details. Will there be a set of strings under the FB? Hans. |

Hi folks, thanks! Sorry if I mislead some of you, this was just an attempt at some humor; I am making an ABG, but the "rosing" on the top, which is a type of pen and ink decoration, is being done by a Hardanger fiddle maker here in Norway. The bass is really large, 18" across the lower bout, so for fun, he stuck a Hardanger fiddle neck on it for the picture, and sent it to me. I'll post pictures of the finished instrument. |

I wondered how one would play it! That is going to be a beautiful bass, Arnt. The "rosing" is gorgeous. I hope you'll show more pics as you proceed. |

Well, you got me Arnt! Couldn't imagine that box stuck up under your neck though... Just beautiful inking. Can't wait to see it up close... |
