Anyone else have any trouble finishing over a repair done in this Gluboost stuff? I thought the stuff was just another CA but I am working on a job that someone dinged and filled with the stuff. The repair stands out and glares in certain light due to different refraction rates inside the clears. So I am trying to color it up and blend it into the surrounding redwood......

While the original finish behaves as normal nothing seems to work to shade over this spot!!! It pushes off the dye in a tinted clear in strange little fish-eyes...... I can get a straight dye to dry over it and blend but as soon as I try and clear it, little spots..... ARGH!

I've used it and love it, but I only finish with shellac and have had no problems. I've never tried applying a dye over it.

I had some tear out on an African Blackwood tail wedge and filled it with GluBoost after sealing it with fresh dewaxed shellac. You can't see it at all under the lacquer.

However, I also used it to fill some tear out along the edge of an ebony fretboard, and it's quite noticeable. Also under lacquer.

I have some opinions I'd be glad to share in a pm, if interested.
