Lots of finish work. First coats of TruOil on the uke, level sanded the acoustic, and the archtop refinish is ready for level sanding. |

This carbon part is a pre-molded, hollow monocoque structure that will fit into the neck thusly. The sturcture runs underneath the nut and extrudes into the headstock. This produces a rigidity to the neck that can't be produced another way. |

Wow, some really cool stuff here as usually. Always impressed. In between glazing coats on a wenge 000 build I had time to get started on this 1944 000-18 neck reset. This particular guitar looks like hell and needs a lot of restoration but it really did have a fantastic sound. |

Chris, I've long been an admirer of your work, but these golf tees seem a step too far look good, what are they? |

I did the top binding/purfling pos my Larson Brothers inspired Jumbo. Puflings are .375" wide - I used Holly Binding/Black/Dentile/red/Pearl/red/dentile/black. .065/.020/.078/.020/.049/.020/.078/.020 inches for each. After I pulled the plastic filler strip, I cracked pearl into the gaps. I still need to final sand, etc, but these pics give an idea. Beautiful, Glenn. What is the binding material? How about shots of the back and sides? Ed |

Love that Larson copy. That's on my bucket list hopefully within a year. That one is looking fantastic. So is everyone elses work for that matter. |

Ruby50 wrote: Beautiful, Glenn. What is the binding material? How about shots of the back and sides? Ed Hi Ed! Thanks! Binding is Holly. I'll get shots of back and sides after I do the back binding - I worked on the top first. B&S are beautiful dark Coco. Top is Red spruce. |

Got a couple rims wrangled into shape. Also upgrading my dust collection. Shop upgrades are nice once complete, but a huge time suck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Did a few like that and then decided to do the binding separate from the purfling. Nice Glenn! |

A new concept build for me. Thin, light soundboard, triple X braced, just roughed out, still a fair bit of sanding to go. |
