Back in the day I used KTM-9 after rave reviews by Mike Doolin and John Greven. Disappointment (plus they quit using it too) Then Target USL and EM6000 after rave reviews including Gerald Sheppard. More disappointment. Enter Addam Stark and Tony Ferguson and I never looked back.

This looks great as did the above finishes initially but durability, neck breakdown, and late clouding sealed their doom for guitars, at least for me.

Could this finally be the WB that actually works??

Well, the answer to that is quite simple. We don’t know.

However, nothing ventured nothing gained. It’s the luxury of being a hobbiest builder as I have tried KTM-9, Behlen’s Rockhard, Royal Lac, Enduro-Var, and now HP Topcoat.

Could this be the “go to” finish for kit builders, hobbiest, enviro friendly, or small builders? Obviously, only time will tell...But that’s the fun part.

Keep us informed! That is as good a WB finish as I have seen pictures of in the early stages. Hope it works out.

Looks great. Any idea of how thick the final finish is?

Not sure, however, I will nab a piece when I remove the finish for the fingerboard extension and bridge and caliper it.
As a foot note to this finish discussion, I forgot to mention Truoil. I have done my last four necks, including this one, with this product. Again, easy application, buffs wonderfully, and is never tacky in the warm summer season.
