I know you all have been at this a lot longer than I have but if it were me, I'd take the strings loose from the tuners, wrap them around a stick, tie down the body and get ready with the light and mirror while someone pulls on the stick and see what the heck is going on. |

Hi John, Perhaps I'm just seeing the pencil line then (the first lower bout brace right behind the bridge place and right near the x-brace). Just make sure that you have absolutely no gaps at all with HHG (which I'm sure you already know). |

That's a good idea Mike, or some variant of that idea. It might be necessary to pull it farther then string tension will go to really see. |

This might be a really extreme solution. Why not just break the glue line you do have and reglue the braces in that area? |
