I ordered a Silver Creek Classical size case recently, in order to ship a fairly inexpensive guitar. The case has an arched top, crushed velvet green liner, and black pebble grain covering. It seems like an ok case, but I wanted to see if anyone here has had any negative experience with them, before I use one with any other guitars.

I have bought a few of them. Nice case for the price range.

I used them all the time and like them. Especially for the price.

I don't know how they're priced but have you looked at Hiscox?

Very light, strong and not crazy expensive, assuming they'll fit your instrument.

FWIW their "large classical" case fits a Gibson L-00 shape pretty well.

The silver Creek classical case is not very deep. My standard sized classical 3-5/8" deep and does not fit that case. Musicians Friend states the depth as 4.5", but that s the dimension of the outside of the case. I'm getting the Humicase Protege case instead for student-level guitars which is deep enough. I also use Hiscox for customers who are willing to pay for a better case.

I haven't had any negative experiences with them. Their classical size fits the large Torres body well.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I tried the one I ordered with an LG-2, and a 14-fret L-00 and it was a good fit for both.

I really like the Hiscox cases, but I am not crazy about their latches…
They are hard to close.

My budget go to case is a Stage-3 case from Access cases. The interiors are far more plush and cushy than the silver creek. I just picked up 5 cases and I think they were about $70 each. They are a local company so I’m able to call in an order and pick them up.

Nice folks, M
