How firm should the fit be for a truss rod into the channel? Right now my two way stew mac truss rod requires me to push it into the channel quite firmly. I can get it in and out but it is tight.

LMII truss rods have two little bumps on each of the end blocks that hold the rod in place and requires a fairly good tap to set them into the wood.
