Hi Robbie,

I use this jig as well and like it very much. However I've always used a caul inside the guitar with it, and sometimes with taller bridges the screws are too short so I've often had to revert back to good old clamps. I only do repairs.

Now I'm wondering if my caul is overkill, what do you think?

I’ve used it also. Just a note- remove the jig before completely drying, the screw threads can get gummed up.

I have never used a caul and don't feel it is necessary.

You can also wax the screws if you like.
