Unknown finish. I need to know how to use nitro over an unknown finish.Ican try wiping laquer thinner or mineral spirits and get an idea of what I’m up against I was hoping shellac or maybe vinyl sealer then nitro.Of course there is always a complete strip job which is no fun Any suggestions are appreciated. Is this electric or acoustic? Anywhere you can do a test that isn't visible? Be sure and do a shellac wash coat in between any finishes that are incompatible. |
