| nice to see this worked perfectly for someone. maybe it was just my fresh french polish but when i had to remove a Mylar pickguard like that i took a whole lotta finish with it ![Mad [headinwall]](./images/smilies/headbangwalluf8.gif) but thats fixed now a week later and 9 coats on the affected area   | |

| I've done the same type of removal before. Using a heat gun, carefully, to heat the substance right before the break line makes the removal much easier for me. (I'm a new member but have been a guitar builder for around 30 years, for the first 5 I was completely full time.) | |
