Ok boys and girls We have tried to put together a southwest get together for several years now and to no avail.

So I am going to make an offer that I hope you can't resist. Barring Hail or High Water This coming 4th of July Holiday my home and shop is open for a get together. I can put up in my home 2 couples and can make arrangements at the local inns for others.

I know Odessa is not the entertainment capital of the great southwest but I can cook and wet a pallet or two. and would love to have any willing to make the trip.

Actually my home is open at any time but in order to finally get a get together done here in the southwest I am steeping forward and saying " Come on guys and head on down if you can! Diane and I would love to have you.

Good times, good food and good friends. What else do you need

Hi Michael,

I'm interested. Melinda and I seldom make plans that far in advance, but with a date on the calendar, then we won't schedule anything else. Some people on luthiersforum.com were also talking about a SW gathering, so maybe we could make this happen this year. I'll also send an email to LINT (Luthiers Interactive of North TX) or mention it at the next meeting.

Greg I would be pleased to have you come. I am willing to travel as well but we never seem to ever get a date set far enough in advance to get it done so I though I would put out a standing offer.

By the way I lived in White Settlement for some 6 years on two different occasions in the late 80's. I love Cowtown Dallas is OK but Fort Worth is a hoot! I have a daughter, son-in-law and two grand kids in Mansfield. In fact they just left here yesterday.

Michael,
LINT is going to have it's Master Class Feb 23rd. Charles Fox is going to give the class! Also, he may do another half day on the 24th(but don't quote me).

I guess I should check the web site for location. Though that may be the week I deliver the critique guitar to Michael Chapdelaine I am waiting on his schedule to see when he will be home.

I have been meaning to join LINT for three years but to be honest getting the time to travel to the meetings has been hard the last two years with oil prices the way they have been, I have been working my little tail off.

Michael, it would be great to see you there, and great to have you as a member.
I'm one of those who live pretty far away from the epicenter of LINT, so I can't make each meeting. But they are always worthwhile.

Steve

You would know I'm working 4th of July weekend this year. Otherwise, I'd love to come out. At least, if I could talk Greg into carpooling. Greg, you'll drive within a mile of my house, be sure and honk and wave on the way through!

Oh, and I still have never made a LINT meeting. Every one is scheduled on a day when I'm working.

Feb 23...yep, working again. May be time for a new job...

Wes,

We could drive by your job and hold you as a hostage. I don't know how we would explain it happening more than once.

Otherwise, if you get time off, you can ride with us.
