I am designing a spide bridge Resonator Bass with a 31" scale length and am trying to decide how much compensation should be used. Any ideas? It is to have not soundwell. It will be plywood with veneer. This is my first veneer and I would welcome suggestions.Ron Shriver38595.8407986111

Hi Ron,

According to everything I've heard, you would compensate similar to the acoustic version for roundnecks, but no compensation for squarenecks. You might want to pose this question to the normal Luthiers Forum section for opinions on Acoustic Bass saddle compensation.

Don's right. Mine is a 32" scale, and I didn't do anything different about compensation just because it's a resonator.
