Got my box today That Honduran rosewood is awesome. Just what I was hoping for. Most woods only ring if you hold in a few specific spots and tap, and just make a quick thunk otherwise. But this stuff finds some frequency to ring at nomatter where you hold it Only two other sets in my entire stash that do that... one is black Brazilian, one is another dark Honduran like this. Thanks for all the offcuts and things too. I already found a use for the Honduran rosewood squares, cutting out little pre-shaped binding pieces for the crown of my harp guitar's headstock. I've managed to bend woods for it before, but I couldn't get anything to take the extremely tight curves this time, and especially not rosewood like I wanted, so I just gotta do it like an inlay. |
