():) And happily ever after we'll live in the duotoned land of personified
instruments and "letting the wood speak for itself!" :D Just having fun,
too. I DO NOT want to put down anyone's sense of artistry. Hesh, your
guitar will look great regardless. It's very pretty.

I can't stand burst, but have seen some that look OK! This one ain't bad. I like the blend to red from the lighter brown. This one does'nt seem to have that hard edge the looks cheap. Real nice piece of work anyway you look at it!

Please believe me, I would take this guitar! Very nice!

No Sorry, I agree with Russell, I know we Brits are sunbrust bores, but I think it ruins the whole thing. I don't like them, never will, can't understand why anyone would want one. Where's that guy with the pickup truck when you need him. There I've said it now, sorry Lance, I think the ones in the background look much nicer John. Your guitar though Lance.

Hesh, I'd like to add one more to your "THE TOP TEN REASONS TO DO A BURST". If you build mandolins you'll understand...

THE SCROLL!

Question: I am finishing a Mahogany guitar right now and considering burst on that one. Do you normally apply a burst to the back as well as the soundboard traditionally?

Well, I don't really get it it myself. I agree with Mattia as I think it would look better with an ambered top. I guess our differences in taste are what make the world go around. Either that, or a much lighter burst similar to the acacia in tone.

It has been done with mahogany, but mostly with maple. Probably, as has been mentioned, to hide flaws, if it's a factory guitar.

Okay, but it'll have to be a soft drink or hard water!    I'm still looking for info on a meeting date--heard anything?

Lance, admittedly this is a tainted ("tinted"?) American opinion, but:

It's gorgeous.
