Light needs to be diffused in order to look ambient/non-reflective. One
thing you guys can do on a low budget is set up four shop lights (one in
each corner), and set up four clear shower curtains around the guitar in a
square. Just a quick trick with decent results. Not exactly the diffusing
material they use for real light tents, but it works well.

Hi James

Just for the record.

You asked a straight question and got a straight answer, seems to me you are taking it a little out of context. Colin just expressed his opinion from his prespective, but did go on to say if Hesh was happy then that was what mattered.

Colin is one of the most generous people I Know, and I assure you he would not make that comment to be

"abrasive, belittling, or indecent."

I am pretty sure Hesh wouldn't have taken it that way either.

What Russel said.

You asked for an opinion, and I gave mine, and stand by it. There are zero comments about 'ruined guitars' in this thread; unsurprising, because it is, after all, a stunning instrument. Just not entirely to my taste.

With out reading and following the forum closely sometimes you can miss a subtle joke here and there, and subsequently a post may be thought of as off base when actually its spot on and just a follow up on a previous topic or joke.
Hesh and I have booth received friendly pokes to the rib cage over our choice to do our last two guitars in a burst, we both know the intent of everyone's comments are not personal, but in fun.
But if you missed the origin of the pokes and jabs it may seem insulting, but it couldn't be further from the truth.

Im sure Hesh would agree
