I wanted to post but didn't at the same time. A combo of the picture
making me feel both self-conscious and pretentious. Tom Gindorf and I
took pictures of his guitar a few years ago; this one unfortunately comes
out looking like I was trying to do some sort of promo portrait or
something. And I have hat hair.

James,
It's funny to see that guitar again. I built it for Tom Gindorf as a custom order with its Greek and Hebrew inlays. Tom ended up selling it because he felt the Adirondack top was too stiff for him, but it just took a little more time than expected to loosen up and play in.

The guy who has it now treasures it and says the Adirondack is the best...and loudest top he's ever played. To each his own,I suppose.

One man's keeper, many times, comes from a player looking for something else. I'm just glad it ended up in the hands of someone who loves it.

Regards,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega GuitarsKevin Gallagher38877.4216319444

Hey guys, I'm beginning to feel uneasy as the originator of this thread, I'm pretty sure you can be arrested for wearing some of these outfits!

LousianaGrey, is that you on the far left in the picture above? In that case, where did you get that crazy Sami (The native people of northern Scandinavia) hat?!! I own one too, but I NEVER expected to see one on a stage with a sheik and a bearded princess, let alone a banjo and a dobro; this is really bizarre!

Hey, Arnt, maybe he thought "picture of yourself playing" meant playing someone else, like acting, instead of playing an instrument. If not, welllllll........

At any rate, looks to me like you're having a grand time playing, Louisianagrey!

That's the infamous "Richard III and the Ubends", a bit like Hayseed Dixie insofar as we do bluegrass versions of non-bluegrass songs, usually in a medley that fits a lot of unlikely songs together. That particular one (as I recall) went from the Stranglers' "Peaches" to "Sultans of Swing" via "Rock the Casbah" and a number of other tunes. I'm in the blue outfit, Arnt. The guy with the mandolin at the end is one of the entertainers at Eurodisney in Paris in his normal life.

That's his normal life??!! Man, I need to go out more! I only know carpenters and plumbers!

Tomas, the classical and the twins look great. I don't know how to comment on the drunken steel guitar player and son...
