We need to buy a CNC before years end. I know not much time to research so I am coming to the Pros for help. Budget is between 15 and 20 thousand. Any and all suggestions welcome.

You are under a tight deadline my friend!

What will you be doing with it? this will help you get some responses that are better suited to your needs. Will you be doing 3D contouring? or just some basic rosette and inlay routing? are you just using it for wood or metal also? What is the size you are looking at? Be as specific as you can and it will narrow the field significantly.

Zeke we decided to buy a truck instead. The item we buy needs to be in service before the end of the year in order to deduct it for taxes. A CNC is definitely on the horizon for next year. That will give us more to think and talk about it. I will be back with more specifics.
Thanks so much.

I understand completely. I just spent a month buying supplies and such for the same tax reasons. A truck is a good expense too. Just figure out what your goals are for the CNC. It will help narrow down the field and save a lot of time looking at machines that dont fit your purposes. Best of luck!
