Hi Guys,
New to the forum, intro is here: viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=48602

Has anyone ever made or used Corian as top for a router table?
I can get my hands on a 2' x 3' piece for next to nothing and I really need to upgrade my current router table.

Have not used it but given how stable it is, and you can rout it, I think it would make a great table top.

It will make a really nice top, but don't overestimate its stability ... I assume you will be using the standard 12mm thick stuff ...I would reinforce as much of it as possible with 3/4" plywood glued on with contact cement, just leaving enough for the aperture. 2'x3' supported only at the perimeter will sag over time.

I used corian for a router table top (still have it around somewhere) I made the plate the router mounted to out of corian as well. I made it large enough to lift out with the router attached. No real problems with it. Fences had to be clamped rather than screwed down. I did away with the router table to save space and mounted a router base to the aux. table of my tablesaw.
