Hey... I just got a Fender 62 P Bass reissue and had an idea of finding brass inserts for the screws that affix the bridge and pickup covers to allow easy removal and reinstallation. I figured someone smarter than me has already done this... any advice? I'm looking for sources for the inserts and screws and size recommendations.

Let's thanks it for granted that many players would say "why bother" with the covers. I dig them for the vintage vibe.

Ya I used those things a few times, they were toothed friction fit brass nuts which went into the wood and the little machine screws just went in.
I think I got them at a hobby store which sells remote planes and models and stuff, they probalby sell remot controlled drones now a days though.
But there's a few sizes, all nice and small and they work real well.
