I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm thinking when Gib**n gets done with the latest round of price gouging, er "increases", we'll all be seeing more things with that "E" word on the headstock.

I think that I read someplace that in 2015 G*bson aka now Gib**n ;) tried to put those awful autotuners on most if not all Les Pauls and sales dropped off a goodly percentage.

I'll always love Les Pauls although my current torn rotator cuff doesn't.... but I would never, never, never purchase one with those awful autotuners.... Those things will never last as long and as the chassis lasts (guitar) with care. Why Henry got behind that technology and risked his iconic line beats the hell out of me. Where is the conservatism in product life cycle preservation in that decision.....

For all of time guitar design was dictated by what players wanted even, at times... if it meant other issues. Floyds made it to many guitars especially in the 80's because that's what shredders wanted. The popularity of vintage stuff including throw back pups was something else that got included in product lines because of customer demand.

Who was asking for cheap, thin chromed genuine, imitation pl*stic fake tuners that feel toys when manually turned AND look like I made them in may basement.....
