| Post subject: | Purple Heart Pick Guards |
I have a couple pieces of purple heart wood that are 2"x 5" x 5" and I wondered how that Wood , would hold up as a pick guard . I know its heavy . Will that wood hold up at 1/8" thick or less for a pick Guard on a mando ? |

I would think it's dense enough (compare against ebony, which is great). But if want to use it for the colour, I think you might be dissapointed over time as it turns brown. |

Turns brown huh ? Ive never worked with it before so I had no idea it did that . Thanks for the heads up. Yes it was because of the color , that I was considering it. |
