I have tried the Z Poxy for the first time and am Liking the results . I have some experience to put in to be better at application ! oops_sign :D

What im not sure about is the Cure time Prior to Spraying Laq. Ive read in search , some say 24 hrs between coats of z poxy some say 48 , however there really isnt a suggestion on cure time before laq. At least I didnt see one .

Any suggestions ? How long do most people wait ?

Thanks

If the Z-poxy was hard enough to sand out it is cured.

Do you sand it all the way back to wood leaving z-poxy in the pores only or do you leave it on as a base clear coat, level it out, and then laquer over it?

I put a couple light coats of shellac between the Z-poxy and the lacquer to help the bonding between them. Besides the blond shellac makes the top look nice and it brings out the look of the wood. I am just starting to lacquer the 5 guitar I did with Z-poxy, I think I have it mastered finally, each one went easier than the one before.

I sanded just to level out and left a clear coat and then applied a second coat . Since it was first effort Im not sure thats best , however it did turn out quite nice .
