Hi folks, I am building a baritone uke with a body size of a parlor guitar and a scale length of 20 inches. I am almost done and I want to glue the bridge on. My question is simple. How much compensation, if any, do I allow at the saddle (I am using a straight saddle without any incline)?

I have read all I can and most of the discussions base on string type and other esoteric things. One discussion is on this topic, but for a Kasha uke. Please can someone give me a "rule of thumb" as we have with guitars? Thanks, Cactus :?:

Im not sure how much you need to push it back...probably not much. Stewmac might be able to help you out with their fret position calculator

Stumac says use a non-compensated bridge at 20.118 inches. Does this mean I have to move the bridge away from the neck by .118 inches? Any opinions on this number? Does the saddle have one straight "break point" throughout its length, or is it like a guitar?

Yes, Im pretty sure that means to move the bridge so the saddle is .118 inches beyond 20 inches, which seems reasonable. And yup, A straight break point is what I would expect.
