After finishing up the Smiley-Uke for a customer, I got a chance to play it for a couple of weeks prior to shipping and found myself really enjoying have a ukulele around. So I decided to build one for me, but this time a more traditional one. This will be a tenor also, 17" scale. Tasmanian Blackwood (Black Acacia, acacia melanoxylon) Here's a picture of the top & back set. The curl isn't evident in the pictures, but it's there aplenty; nice tight curl. Opinions welcome... |
