Just finished my multi-scale mandocello.. Turned out pretty good, still some tuning to do, I think it needs a bit heavier strings...
Oregon Myrtle, Sitka & Indian Rosewood.. scales are 24.75" & 26.25".....

Way cool. Currently converting a Washburn electric into a mandocello. They are certainly NOT guitars, and I needed a new challenge.

Very cool Kerry Werry! I would really like to try a multi scale anything sometime. I'd also like to try some Oregon Myrtle sometime. It comes in some very pretty forms. Where abouts in BC are you?

Cheers,
Danny

Coquitlam area of BC..

Multi-scale was fun to build, but you certainly need to plan out the whole thing, I made a bunch of paper templates to see how it would all go together..

I should also say thank you to Padma who I asked for advice and he provided sage comments most of which I ignored but it was good to be warned about pitfalls along the way and nice that he responded (I emailed him directly)..

Thanks Padma!
