I've done a little accounting, and I think I'll be able to fit one of my homebrew preamps and an undersaddle pickup into the budget. The catch is I built the preamp a couple of years ago. Can I use it, or would that be starting early?

I would say it is no different than buyng a preamp or using kerfed liners that you batched last year. Then again, I don't get a vote. . .
