Sounds nice! My next will be an Uke, I hope I have as much success. I didn't know Racer-X was such a Jason Mraz fan. . .

Thanks Bryan. I learned a lot building this ukulele. Specifically, how not to bind one,how to re-top one, and how I have no business building ukes!!

Thanks Wud!
I had the same issue building this uke as I did with my first guitar; I don't know what a good uke is supposed to sound like!

It sounds ok in person. I think the owner will be happy.

Thanks Steve! It sounds better than the $99 ukes at the local big box store. But that's not saying much, is it?

It has a rich sound to it that I like. [:Y:] Most ukes I've heard sound a bit dead, not much harmonic content, I suppose. Maybe they are just overbuilt idunno

Did you post an audio, or did I miss it?
Looks great, Tony. The only concert uke I've built (just for my self) has a similar sized soundhole. I didn't have a circle cutter that would go smaller than the tenor-sized hole I usually make, so I just cut that size out. One does see a bit more tentalone than necessary, but didn't seem to cause any problems with the sound.

Looks like two people have cared so far. I can assure you it wasn't me (I haven't voted yet).

My look of studied indifference is often mistaken for empathy or even (gasp) caring. So while I often dangle to hook into the water, I rarely bait it!

I'm happy to hear you practice not caring. I thought it came naturally.

What are you hiding Tony? There's not a single picture or video shot that shows the headstock of your careless uke. Inquiring minds want to know WHY???!!! (but don't care one way or the other...)

Cheers,
Dave F.

There is a secret inlay on the headstock. Double secret actually.

Ok. I didn't even notice that I did that. The uke has gone to live with its owner so if I don't have any pics of the headstock, I can no longer take any. I'll look tonight.
