Sounds nice! My next will be an Uke, I hope I have as much success. I didn't know Racer-X was such a Jason Mraz fan. . . |

Thanks Bryan. I learned a lot building this ukulele. Specifically, how not to bind one,how to re-top one, and how I have no business building ukes!! |

Thanks Wud! I had the same issue building this uke as I did with my first guitar; I don't know what a good uke is supposed to sound like! It sounds ok in person. I think the owner will be happy. |

Thanks Steve! It sounds better than the $99 ukes at the local big box store. But that's not saying much, is it? |

Did you post an audio, or did I miss it? Looks great, Tony. The only concert uke I've built (just for my self) has a similar sized soundhole. I didn't have a circle cutter that would go smaller than the tenor-sized hole I usually make, so I just cut that size out. One does see a bit more tentalone than necessary, but didn't seem to cause any problems with the sound. |

What are you hiding Tony? There's not a single picture or video shot that shows the headstock of your careless uke. Inquiring minds want to know WHY???!!! (but don't care one way or the other...) Cheers, Dave F. |

There is a secret inlay on the headstock. Double secret actually. Ok. I didn't even notice that I did that. The uke has gone to live with its owner so if I don't have any pics of the headstock, I can no longer take any. I'll look tonight. Posted using something. |
